SEQ TRACKER

This sequencer sends MEMORY CHANGES #1-16 to other modules.

With 256 steps per track, a grid edit to recall memory changes to other modularing modules. Variable END point, LOOP between START & END, A to H locators for manual triggering. Variable loop points between locators for live application. Depending of steps settings, each cell corresponds to one cycle of other sequencers. This module is fine to create modularing songs or sub-sections, based on patterns organization.

GRID

number of steps : up to 256, default value is 16.

workspace lenght : default value is 32 cells. Click at the end of grid, inside the blank area, to add more steps to current workspace.

COLUMNS

The top raw is to select/modify colum parameters. Click in the top cell to see menu, the number of selected step will appear in the application display.

Set locator : A to H for the selected column (step).

Clear Locator : to erase a locator in the selected column (step).

Set song END : to fix the sequencer ending bar.

Insert column : insert a new column before the selection.

Remove column : remove the selected column.

Clear column : erase all information inside the selected column.

TRACKS

default is no track.

New Track : click in the track list on the left part or sequencer window or anywhere inside the blank workspace to add a new track.

[undefined] : click on the track name to get a popup list of all current modules, select a destination module for the selected track.

Remove Track : remove the selected track.

Clear Track : erase all information inside the selected track.

VERY IMPORTANT : This sequencer is dedicated for song creation inside modularing. The connection to destination module are dynamics. It seems you don't need to connect the MIDI OUT of this sequencer to each the destination modules.

- Just select a destination module in the track list to associate a track to this module only.

- All the modularing opened applications will appear in the list, even modules which don't have internal memorie.

CELLS

Click in any cell to set a program change number, the number of selected step will appear in the application display.

#1 to #16 : to add a program change number for the selected cell.

Clear cell : to erase the current cell content.

steps division : the number of steps insides a cell could be divided into 16 steps. But to be in time relation with other steps sequencers all the timing duration are divided to follow a complete cycle or a remote sequencer. When a standard modularing sequencer play 16 steps, the Seq Tracker will play one cell.

For example : an analogue, matrix or trig steps sequencer is playing 16 steps, divider on 1, multiplier on 4, to get 1 bar in 4/4.

- on the same settings, one cell is equal to 1 cycle of the remote sequencer.

- on div = 16, divider 1 and multiplier 1, one cell is equal to 4 bars duration.

- on div = 16, divider 1 and multiplier 8, one cell is equal to 1/2 bar duration.

LOCATORS

Locators are 8 different positions into the sequencer main loop (beginning and ending bars).

- Each colum could be marked to a position locator from letter A to H.

- To jump during playing to locator position in a song, press the corresponding switch.

- The sequencer will not jump to a locator position outside of the main loop (after the ending point).

Switch A to H : to set the next step to the selected locator. Keyboard shorcuts [Command+letter Key].

Loop Led switch A to H : to turn tempory loops between locator points.

Dynamic loops are small loops between hilighted led switches. Changes could be made during live performances to play different sections sequencely or manually. To be effective, locators point must exist in the sequence.
