Browser configurations

To directly open a modularing preset from the web, inside your favourite browser, declare the .mag extension -mime type corresponding to the Studio Launcher modularing tool. After the configuration, a simple click on a preset name inside the web page, will start the download and then build the original studio setup, ready to play!

The two following examples are for Netscape and Explorer, but may be easily adapted to other navigator.

 

NETSCAPE 4.0 and higher guideline


The first time you will get a screen like this one:

Pick the "STUDIO Launcher" application inside your modularing / TOOLS folder:

In this case it will open the .mag for the current NetScape session only!
If you want to permanently declare the .mag/mime type into your browser, do the configuration manually. Under the netscape preferences select the application menu and add a new one:

Don't forget to turn the Macintosh File flag on.

Shorcut : if for any reason you don't like to open a downloaded file automatically, or want to select save different files from the collection, simply drag the link name to your desktop. It save the file(s), ready for later.

 

EXPLORER 4.5 and higher guideline


Go to IE4 preferences and add a new type for "STUDIO Launcher" modularing application:
